Love these photos. There is an ambiguity, especially in the 2nd & 3rd images, is it the sea pounding the coast, or white clouds.
Difficult to decide which I like best (possibly the 4th)

You’re right– it does look a bit like waves… they are definitely the clouds, though. We thought that we could make out the coast in the very far distance, but it may have just been the sky.
